Family Discovery Saturdays
Description
The public is invited to join VC's Museum of the Coastal Bend for family-friendly activities on Saturdays.
Join us for Family Discovery Saturdays this summer as we celebrate life and history in the Coastal Bend! We’ll kick off the summer with the opening of our Native Plant Garden exhibit making bee houses, herbal teas, and more. Saturdays in June and July will focus on history highlighting the Early Peoples of Texas and the European exploration and colonization of this region. Make pottery, learn about stone tools, sharpen your knot-tying skills, make a boat that floats and other activities. We’ll top off the summer with a day of ranching and cowboy fun in honor of National Cowboy Day!
- June 6: Nature Crafts and Texas Native Plants Demonstration Garden opening
- June 13: Nautical Life!
- June 20: LaSalle's Colony Living History
- June 27: Early Peoples of Texas
- July 11: Ranch Life & Storytime with the Victoria Public Library
- July 18: Spanish Living History
- July 25: Cowboy Life--Celebrate National Day of the Cowboy!
Activities are free admission and open to the public. Free supplies while they last!
