The public is invited to join the Museum of the Coastal Bend for the 4th Annual Atlatl Turkey Shoot!

Participants will use atlatls to compete in distance and accuracy competitions. Prizes from local merchants will be awarded to the winners. Participation is free, and all necessary supplies will be provided. The first 100 competitors and volunteers will receive a free t-shirt.

Those unfamiliar with atlatls can learn at a practice station. Demonstrations will be held during regular museum hours and on the day of the competition.

Competitors must be at least 12 years old. Participants under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. There is no age limit for demonstrations and practice.
