Lyceum STEM Summit

The public is invited to join Victoria College for a STEM Summit featuring Dr. Joe Hanson and Dr. Sean B. Carroll.

Attendees will hear from dynamic STEM professionals who are shaping the future; participate in engaging, hands-on STEM activities; and connect with VC programs and pathways. 

About the speakers: 

• Dr. Sean B. Carroll is an internationally-recognized biologist, award-winning author, two-time Emmy-winning film producer, and educational leader. Sean’s pioneering scientific research has centered on the genes that control animal body patterns and play major roles in the evolution of animal diversity. 
• Dr. Joe Hanson is the creator and host of "Be Smart," a YouTube science education show from PBS. Since 2013, “Be Smart” has produced more than 250 episodes, reaching more than half a billion views and 4.8 million subscribers on YouTube.

• 9:30-10:30 a.m. – STEM Activities + VC Booths
• 10:30-11:45 a.m. – Presentation: Dr. Sean B. Carroll + Q&A
• 12:15-1:30 p.m. – Presentation: Dr. Joe Hanson + Q&A
• 1:30-2:30 p.m. – STEM Activities + VC Booths
