Lyceum Lecture: Roy Juarez Jr
Description
The public is invited to join Victoria College for a Lyceum Lecture featuring Roy Juarez Jr.
Juarez is an acclaimed author and visionary entrepreneur whose memoir, "Homeless by Choice: A Memoir of Love, Hate, and Forgiveness," chronicles his journey from experiencing homelessness as a teenager to becoming a respected international expert in educational transformation and leadership. As the founder and CEO of IMPACTtruth, Inc. and Dreams Inked Publishing, he helps youth from underrepresented communities become published authors, using their stories as tools for healing and college access.
Modified Class Schedule
Victoria College will observe a modified class schedule on Wednesday, Oct. 1, to allow students and faculty to attend the lecture. Please see the adjusted times below.
- Classes that normally begin from 7:30-8 a.m. will meet from 8-8:30 a.m.
- Classes that normally begin from 8:30-9:25 a.m. will meet from 8:40-9:10 a.m.
- Classes that normally begin from 10-10:40 a.m. will meet from 9:20-9:50 a.m.
- Classes that normally begin at 10:50-11 a.m. will meet from 10-10:30 a.m.
The Lyceum Lecture featuring Roy Juarez Jr. will begin at 11 a.m.
- Classes that normally begin from noon-12:50 p.m. will meet from 1-1:30 p.m.
- Classes that normally begin from 1-1:40 p.m. will meet from 1:40-2:10 p.m.
- Classes that normally meet after 3 p.m. will meet at their regularly scheduled times.
About the Lyceum
The mission of the Victoria College Lyceum is to bring the world to Victoria by giving students and community members the opportunity to hear first-hand the ideas, experiences, and aspirations of individuals who have had a direct impact on world events, made major scientific discoveries, touched people’s hearts and imaginations, and molded public debate.
